A Different Kind of Easter

Today was different, a mixed kind of day

It was a hard night last night, thankful for my nebulizer,

had a difficult time breathing.

Didn’t go to church. That felt strange.

Had a great talk with the kids about the true meaning of Easter.

Missed Firedaddy very much!

He had to be at the station today.

Started a fun new tradition.

The Easter Bunny hid the baskets and left 20 notes hidden in eggs, each with hints that led to the next egg and then finally to the basket.

It was a big hit.

You can see the kids dashing about,

having a great time.

Felt well enough, after sleeping from 8 a.m. to 12 noon, to go see my family.

That was a real highlight.

The Princess wilted as the day progressed and now I am medicating her for a terrible asthmatic cough.

Oh darn!

But, when I keep sight on what Jesus did for us; the suffering he endured… the ups and downs of my day hardly seem important.

I hope you had a wonderful Easter!

Oh goodness, I sure hope you all get better soon. We have the same stuff going on here. I just took some cold medicine myself, and am going to bed.

Love the new Easter idea, the kids looked so cute running about.

So true! It's easier to refocus when we think of what He endured.

I love the idea with the notes! My mom does that for special occasions and it is always a blast!

Hope everyone is healthy and whole again soon!

We have always hidden our Easter baskets, too. EVERY YEAR the kids ask the night before if we're going to do it again, and every year we pretend to have FORGOTTEN to get them anything. Yet every year, we still do it. You'd think they'd learn. =0)

Happy Easter a day late. Sorry parts of your day weren't so good.

Hope you are feeling better...this ol' crud that has been going around has been horrible! I'm glad you were able to enjoy Easter, though.

Take care of yourself and your little Princess!

That's exactly the kind of hunt I grew up with and did for my kids! Happy Easter, a day late. I hope you're feeling better today. :)

Sorry to hear you are not feeling well. What a cool new tradition you started. BTW, how do you keep your tile grout so clean! ( Sorry for the silly question! I guess I noticed cuz I was scrubbing mine this morning!)
