Good News...not so much.

The good news…Scout returned from Science Camp on Friday @ 2:30(he had an awesome adventure)…

2 hours later he was off to Boyscout camp for the weekend…
not so much.

The good news…Emma is sleeping through the night (it was like having a new baby!)…

she now thinks that she should sink her tiny teeth into everything that her mouth is near (including my flesh)…
not so much.

The good news…the steroid I was on after my anapylaxis last week did not cause me to eat like a pig…

it did however cause some strange emotional reactions (Is crying during the Hannah Montana movie normal?)…
not so much.

The good news…the princess and I had a couple of fun girls only nights this past week…

now my sweet girl is getting her HUGE asthmatic cough…really not so much.

On a not so good note: Firehubby went to Seattle to lay his brother,
Gary, in his final resting place… tough times.

Really, when you take just this last point into perspective, all of the ins and outs of my week are not so very significant.

I am looking to Paul's example.

Knowing that I have put my hope in the One I can trust, I am striving to find contentment in all circumstances.

Good perspective from that last line...

I am so sorry... I meant to try to email your hubby before he left to ask if he wanted to meet up with the "locals" while he was up here. I mean... we wouldn't be all stalker-ish or anything, just maybe grab a burger and shoot the breeze? But the weekend snuck up and we had a funeral of our own to attend.

Apologies... wish it had worked out.

Wow...son is home than gone again? We have that same cough over here...no fun. Glad you didn't gain any weight
And sorry about the loss. So difficult.
I am learning that same thing from Paul too...sometimes more difficult than others. Trying to teach it to kids is even harder.

That is quite a week, I'll be praying for your husband as I'm sure this will be a rough time for him. I've always loved that verse but it is a hard one!

I'm so sorry you've had such a hard week!

I cried during the Hannah Montana movie, too. And I haven't been taken any steroids!

I'll be praying for you!

And Hanna Montana: not even at all,,,... LOL

My prayers are with Brian. Can't wait to meet Emma. Sorry for those darn steroids, ugh. My little man still has that cough, it won't go away this time....

Have a blessed Sunday..

Prayers for your family's needs.

Haven't seen the movie, want to, I've been told to bring my Puff's. And I am not on steroids...well kind of if you count the injection I received last week. I'm sure it's worn off though. :P Regardless, I go nowhere w/o my Puff's supply, I'm a weeper.

Sorry about the tough times and your loss. I'm sure he will be missed. It's unfortunate, but tough times are inevitable. It's how we respond and come through on the other side that make a difference. I like your picture and statement at the end of the post. Putting our hope in the One we can trust and trying to find contentment in all circumstances...that's all we can do.
