A Walk to Remember

The Walk to Remember was a huge success.

It was an honor and a privledge to read the names of 99 babies who were lost through miscarriage, stillbirth, newborn death and death during early infancy.

What a bittersweet occasion...

400 people came to validate the lives of their precious babies

and/or those of their loved ones and friends.

The names of baby Angel and Elijah were read...this is my beloved work,

but it is also very personal.

( I have not shared about Elijah, but I will soon)

On a different note: We had to attend to Scout's computer issue first, since he is in the laptop program at school.

This desktop is not adequate for doing much blogging, as each page opens as slow as a snail! Looking forward to a return to normalcy soon.

Keeping it in perspective here...I'll choose a sick computer any day over what we have been through lately!

What a blessing to be part of such a wonderful day of remembrance and honor.

God bless you.......I know/believe/trust that your Angel and Elijah are playing at the feet of Jesus along with my band of angels as well as all the others.

Julie, I wasn't able to make it yesterday. I must apologize for not knowing your story. When I meet a new friend I don't always get around to reading all the previous posts. I am so sorry about your Angel. I feel like I haven't been doing my job. Please know that I do care. Could I send you a handkerchief for your tears? Take care and God Bless.

I would have loved to be apart of this. We lost our baby in March due to miscarriage. Its been a hard year. The Lord sends us peace and as the days go past the pain turns into understanding.

Thank you for sharing just how wonderful this event turned out to be. I only wish it were advertised so much more to give hope to hurting families that have lost a child or know a family who has.

So glad it went well even if it is bitter sweet. I forgot about this...we lost a baby a year ago. So glad they are in the Father's hands waiting for me.

I lost mine at 18 weeks. We didn't name her, but now I sort of wish we had. I am glad The Walk to Remember was such a huge success.

I would have cried the entire time. God bless you!

On a totally different note, you must come over and read what I just posted. Since you are in the medical field, this will really give you a good chuckle.

Love & hugs,
Beth

so grateful that you were able to find a validation of sorts for that painful chapter of your lives that remains mostly unread. Just praying that his continued healing and piece will surround you and yours...

and yea... a sick computer sounds like a walk in the park...

I'm glad the walk went well...there wasn't anything like that around here where I am. But I do light a candle every year for the 3 babies we lost.

The walk sounds like a wonderful way to remember little ones whose lives were cut short. They make such an impact in the tiny amount of time they are here. I'm glad to hear that it went well.

Hope you're having a fabulous Friday!

what an incredible opportunity! I know you have touched these families' lives as much as they have touched yours!
