Firebunny 49

Firebunny 49 was our first family pet
Gotta love the name the kids chose!
He wandered onto the lawn at Station 49
Guess who is a softie
Yep, Firedaddy
Station 49 was at the edge of a regional park
It seems that some regretful recipient of an "Easter Bunny" had let the poor thing go
Be free little bunny, be free
Here is the Princess and Firebunny 49
I love this picture of the Princess
This is the look of delight that we see when she is with animals or swimming
Melts my heart!
If only I could go back in time and snuggle that little three year old girl again...

Awwwwwwwwwwww, what a smile. Doncha wish they could bottle up that essence of that age (including all the smells like when you snuggle the back of their neck)......and keep it in a safe place. Just for the times when we need a good happy, healthy memory (which would probably include some happy tears)

Can you tell I am feeling nostalgic this morning? LOL

ps. I'll have to tell you the story of my hubby with our bunnies sometime.

She is just too precious! Look how tiny she was! I wish my kids had a bunny....much cleaner then a puppy! ;)

So cute! I wish we could go back in time too - it would really help take the sting out of kids growing up so fast! :)

Oh she is just precious. How neat that you got a rescue pet. Love her expression. I know, as I look over old pictures I want to go back and squeeze mine too. Miss the littler days.

Oh my goodness! She's the same age in that picture as Itty Bit is now! She's precious! I love that delighted smile and how on earth could you resist that?!?!

And I was totally planning a "Firehubby with animals track record" comment until I saw that you'd already taken care of it :)

Have a great one - and give that girl a squeeze for me!

Awe! That is so precious. She was an adorable 3 year old and the bunny is a cutie too. I don't know why, but it makes me get a little emotional. I've been thinking so much about how fast Isaiah is growing and reading that you wish you could go back and snuggle that 3 year old just makes me feel a little sad...I feel the same way...wishing I could go back...or at least find the pause button!

Hope you're having a great week!♥

Isn't that the truth. Sometimes I sit and try my best to remember what it felt like to hold them when they were little and for them to sit in my lap and snuggle. I never can quite recreate the feeling but the exercise always brings a smile to my face.

Julie,

What a priceless hero you have in daddy! He knew just the person to take care of a lonely little bunny! Love the picture.

Aw, that makes me want to cry.

I was just telling my 4 and 6 year olds this evening that I don't want them to grow up too quickly. My oldest child then proceeded to tell me how he'd come and visit every holiday and in-between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day. I about cried then just thinking about it. I told them we need to just enjoy being little right now because you can never go back in time, only forward. *sigh* it goes by too quickly. :(

I remember the "only" bunny that my hunny bought me....while we were dating....I told him....I certainly cannot take that bunny home....my parents would never allow it....so he kept it at his house......

Short story long?....lucky his mom is still talking to me....the bunny ATE through a leather couch......big holes......yep...."still being blamed for that one".....lololol.......

NO BUNNY RULE..........lol
