Remembering Oklahoma City...

15 years ago today, innocent lives were lost.

I remember the day clearly...

The radio blared accounts of a huge explosion in Oklahoma City.

Chaos had ensued.

Something devastating had happened.

Sitting with my patient, we just stared at the television.

The horror of the day became more vivid as the smoke cleared.

The workers...

The daycare center...

Shocking.

How could this be happening?

We had no frame of reference for such an event.

Today, let's remember the victims of the Oklahoma City Bombings and their loved ones.

We honor their lives by remembering.

I was at college working on my first degree, sitting on the couch in the lobby of my dorm watching TV when this all happened. I remember like it was yesterday. I had friends who had family in that building...

I remember exactly where I was the moment that this day occurred! I lived in Tulsa then and the sting was so sharply felt with this being so close to home!! I will never forget it!

That is crazy that it has been that long already and that I still remember everything about that day...like 9/11. Remembering those families.

I remember the breaking news. Who can forget the image of Baby Bailey being lovingly carried?

I have goosebumps now - it was a day etched in my memory and I am so thankful for the people who work to keep us safe.

Thank you for the pause to remember.

I remember this day as well...my mom called to tell me my Aunt was okay. She worked at a federal building in OK city, but fortunately it wasn't the one that was bombed.

It was a tough day for all of our firefighters, wasn't it?

Thanks for the reminder.

I remember, a terrible day, so much sadness! I lived about 3 hours away from OK City, and it just seemed so surreal
