Summer Life...it's good.

Blogger is giving me a hard time uploading images...darn!

We are having a great beginning of summer.

Yes, you guessed it...we went to the Los Angeles Zoo with Elaine from Matters of the Heart.

The kids had a fun time seeing all of the animals.

Elaine and I had a wonderful time hanging out and chatting the day away.

Cannot wait to post some pictures of the kids.

I have a SCARY steroid face and have begged Elaine not to post a picture of me.

She is gorgeous. (Elaine, just crop me out of the pix! LOL!)

The Princess has her dance recital tonight.

She is excited.

I think I will surprise her with a bouquet of flowers.

Scout is gone camping with the Boyscouts. He is learning to shoot a gun. *

*Those are words I would never have imagined writing...even a few months ago

Firehubby got a new Mac.

Yeah, he says he will never go back to a PC again.

He has been tinkering with it for days. Hours of fun.

I LOVE SUMMER!

Summer is great! I enjoy not having to be on a set schedule and being able to sleep in on my days off instead of getting up to make lunches!

Sweetie, don't worry about your face. Pregnancy has exploded on mine, mostly around my mouth. My face suddenly says: "Look at me, I'm over 30 and still battling acne!" Fabulous, huh? Third trimester will make up for it by giving me great skin, but a huge double chin. Not. Fair.

Plus it's hot and sticky in Minnesota, so I shower and clean up and five minutes after leaving my house, my hair looks frizzy and my face looks greasy because I'm sweating.

And I keep passing 20 year old size 2 blondes who look so fresh and summery. I'm a nice person, I swear! But the pregnancy hormones make me want to trip them.

I can't wait to see pictures of your trip. It sounds like a lot of fun. I haven't been to the L.A. zoo in years! But whenever I think of it, the theme song from Threes Company goes through my head...

I hope she does well at the recital tonight, I am sure she will love the flowers. I am a mac user and would never go back to a PC. I hope he has fun. :)

Good luck to the Princess as she dances.. I'm sure it will be ethereal. And, I feel absolutely sure that YOU are beautiful, steriod face or not; but sweet Elaine, will, of course, honor your wishes. Because that's just who she is! As for camp... heh. YOU send yours off. I have to go WITH mine. Leaving in the a.m. for four days and three nights at Bert Adams Boy Scout camp ... Webelos encampment. I took pics today of my boy in his Web uniform, which makes him look like a mini-Boy Scout. ouch. Growing up too fast. It makes my head hurt. Guns and knives? Not a problem. Growing up too fast? Now THAT'S a problem! *sigh*

Mr. Daddy would be so proud of your scout!

Ann Basso cracked me UP with the remark about tripping the 20 yr. old size 2 blondes. Wait until menopause, Ann. Forget the blondes...you'll want to trip EVERYBODY. ;-)

Both of my sons were boy scouts. Our oldest son became an Eagle Scout. They both learned to shoot guns. I guess it's a good thing to know the proper way to handle them, but I'm like you, Julie.

I hope you're able to print pics again, soon. I want to see some of the recital!

Our son, Bo, just got a Mac laptop for college. He loves it, too. My hubby works in the newspaper industry. They use ONLY Macs...have for years. He won't use anything else, either.

I hope the rest of your weekend is a great one!

julie, i am right there with you with the "steroid face"...geez...you'd think that with all the meds there are, they could find one that doesn't do that. it's not so good for the self confidence.
very cool that scout is learning to shoot. i love going target shooting!!!
hope princess' recital went well!!!
ps. way to go firehubby on coming over to our side. macs are the only way to go.
