An Eight Legged Day

Seems that everywhere I go today I am seeing and hearing about spiders…

Oh, freak me out!

Now, being a Firewife, I’ve had to come to terms with getting them out of my house, since Firehubby is gone so much.

Today, the Princess was brave enough to escort one out of the house…thank you sweetie (what’s wrong with that girl, doesn’t she know she is supposed to recoil at arachnoids?!)

Anyway, with all of the s----r talk, I was reminded of a TRUE STORY.

So, I thought I would join Rachel at Once Upon a Miracle for:

Many moons ago, when my nephew A. was about 3ish, he came to his mom with a bright smile and a closed outstretched hand. He clearly had a present.

Now, little A. didn’t use his sign language to tell mommy about his special gift. But, his huge grin told his mommy that this was indeed something special…

Was it a pebble?

Was it a flower?

Was it a lady bug?

Little A. opened his small little fist to reveal a…

BLACK WIDOW!

*tempting to post a picture here, but then I would have scared myself (and possibly you) away from my blog for awhile

God was looking over little A. that day, he was not bitten!
And thankfully my SIL didn’t suffer a heart attack!

Dare tell a True Story of your own?

We have quite a few spiders around our house. We've found several garden snakes in the past couple weeks too! Ick!

That is unbelievable! Too crazy that it was an actual black widow. YIKES - for sure God was watching over him!

Not sure I could have handled that without at least screaming or fainting!

Thanks for joining up - truly unbelievable!

Seriously...I think God protects us when we are unaware. For sure there is a scripture about that.
I would have been more than freaked out. Wow that was just crazy.

Okay! Thanks for the heebee-jeebees! Little A certainly has a guardian angel.

Oh, that gave me the serious heebie-jeebie-creepy-crawlies. I'm reading on my laptop in bed with my wonderful hubby next to me on his laptop (yes, we're geeky) and I was so freaked out I had to read it to him too. We both give your SIL a lot of credit for not freaking out. I think I would have kept my cool in the moment, but when the danger had passed, might have had a more than mild meltdown!

That freaked me out! Thank goodness he was ok because you know those things are so bad! I too am not a friend of the s-r. Nor do I like Locusts. Yuck!

You're right, I have been reading about spiders and snakes all over blog land. I just read one where she had a picture of a snake coiled up under her kids bike. Not just under the bike on the ground, but up inside the bike. (shudder) Plus a few photos of deadly spiders hanging around. Now I have to try and sleep with all this on my mind.

got your e-mail, watch for snail mail.
