They also gave us our son a beanie baby, a book with his foot prints in it, and allowed us to pick out a knitted hat.<br /><br />It may seem like such a simple thing- a blanket, a stuffed toy, foot prints in a book. At our Lighthouse Retreats, someone makes special blankets that have a little pocket that contains a "lovey".. some sort of little stuffed animal friend that the child can tuck in and take along. Knowing that these quilts and blankets were sewn with threads of love and many prayers makes SO much difference to these families. Every baby in the NICU there recieves one of these quilts, what a blessing.
